Observations of Didymos and Dimorphos for NASA DART Mission

These observations are before and after the impact on 27th September 2022. Before impact the asteroid looks star-like, after impact it shows spikes and tails made of material ejected after the DART spacecraft impacted the asteroid moon Dimorphos. We're monitoring the length of the tails closely.

Observations made on 3 October 2022 with a 1m telescope in South Africa, with a PanSTARRS-w filter.
